Synopsis:
After surviving
another undersea battle with Zorndyke's forces, the crew of Blue
Submarine No. 6 returns to base for some repairs. While on
the base, Tetsu continues to display his trademark lack of concern
for authority, and his fighting with Mayumi continues.
Zorndyke
interrupts a video conference on war strategy, and his sudden
appearance sends the human forces into a panic. What cruel
fate does this madman have in store for mankind, and has he truly
turned his back on his own people? And what is his
connection to the denizens of the seas who are at war with the
humans?

DVD REVIEW:
BLUE SUBMARINE No. 6
is a DVD I was thinking back-and-forth if I should buy it or not.
Here are my reasons: #1) There is only one episode for
30 minutes. If you are an anime fan, you know this is
ludicrous. In the past, most commercial releases are two per
tape. On DVD's, we are use to four episodes but I suppose
Bandai needs to make money to help pay the CGI designers.
#2) The back cover art of the characters first gave me the
impression that this must of been some 70's anime that I missed
out on and then there is the price. Most places have it for
$19-$24 but thank kamisama for Amazon.com which has the best price
for this DVD title.
As I said in my review
of episode 1, I was hoping things would get better in the
storyline and boy oh boy, things get better. First, I was
really surprised of how good the second episode looks. The
sound and the CGI animation and video quality were awesome!
But I said that with the first, what makes episode 2 good?
Well, the storyline is better. More battles and more of a
plot which leads me to want to watch the third episode
immediately!
Again, most people are
going to be upset that there is only one episode per DVD and I can
understand that. But I looked past that now that I can get
the DVD for $13.99 at Amazon.com. This second episode is
worth purchasing if you bought the first. The storyline does
get better!
